“Editing and translating where the languages are spoken”
Multilingual translation involves the same problems as multilingual writing, considering that the source text was conceived and written taking these problems into account as much as possible. As for multilingual writing, we dispute the idea that a company that is monolocalized in a single country can guarantee linguistic quality in its multilingual texts. At the very most, these agencies that are localized in a single country can only assure work in the languages (two or three at the most) that are actually spoken by the major local communities in their area.
At Littera Graphis, we affirm, linguistically speaking, the translatological principle of our parent company, the Eurologos Group. This principle is summarized in the catchy slogan: “Editing and translating where the languages are spoken”.
Therefore, we leave our current and future clients to face the key rhetorical question: how can an agency that is monolocalized in a single country validate multilingual texts before delivering them to clients?
